CSO organizations, under the banner Uchaguzi Platform, have issued a joint statement on the state of election preparedness in Kenya. They called on the electoral management body, the IEBC, to make public the reports on the audit on the use of technology to transmit results give assurances that technology will work.

The IEBC must also assure on the integrity of the voter register. The voter register has been contentious in Kenya and there is no clarity on which register will be used, whether digital or manual. The Uchaguzi Platform wants the IEBC officials who are said to have transferred voters illegally to be punished. On the issues of leadership and integrity, outlined in Chapter six of the constitution, the CSOs want clarity on the definition and application of the standards.
